The Newest Scandic Hotel in Turku, the Scandic Hotel Plaza has been opened in the centre of the city as of September 2000. The building was originally designed by architect Erik Bryggman and features Italian influences. It is now being refurbished, strictly cherishing traditions, into an elegant comfortable hotel to satisfy the tastes of the most discerning guest. The Scandic hotel Plaza features 117 individual rooms. The attic rooms on the top floor, complete with skylights, are all different and some rooms are even large enough for a conference table. The meeting rooms for conference guests can comfortably accommodate 10-25 persons. Two saunas and a fitness room are also at the disposal of our guests. The Bryggman Restaurant and the Cafe Bryggman's located on Yliopistonkatu, bring a long-expected new impulse to the city's restaurant and cafe scene.
