Hotel Address
Church Lane, Barnsley, GB, S75 3DQ
A former 17th century residence which has been carefully restored to offer a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, appropriate for both business and pleasure.
The hotel boasts a Local Pub within the main house, which has the traditional old beams, open log fires and traditional warm welcome. The Oak Beamed Restaurant offers both Table D'Hote as well as a la carte menus.
Being such an old property, many of the bedrooms retain many of their original features such as exposed beams or windowsills of Yorkshire Stone.
Work has now commenced on a 3.5£ million extension to Tankersley Manor, providing new luxury accommodation and extensive leisure facilities. The main hotel building remains intact and work will be limited to one wing of the hotel and should not impact on the enjoyment of the guests staying at the hotel. A new Reflections Leisure Club will be provided, incorporating an indoor heated 12.5m swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Steam and Sauna rooms, fully equipped gymnasium and four Beauty Therapy Suites. 35 beautifully appointed bedrooms including executive rooms and suites will be added to Tankersley Manor, bringing the total to 100. Completion of the new facilities is expected in September 2004.
