The hotel is in a good spot, not right in the center of the town but near enough. It is a good 15 minute down hill walk to the center of Funchal and the Port. It is a lot easier to catch the bus back, which stops right outside the hotel. Try and book a sea view room at the front of the hotel. This is definitely worth it! This hotel is very clean with maid service daily. Pool area is excellent, towels and sun bed provided. The pool bar is highly recommended-the food is lovely. The sun beds are very comfortable and the poolside is very spacious. The hotel restaurant has a large selection at both breakfast and dinner, and is delicious. The apartments are extremely big and fully kitted out. They all have air conditioning, however, the Hotel rooms have fans. All rooms have fitted hairdryers, shower gel and shampoo. Internet access in reception. The gym is first class, there is also Table Tennis, Darts, and Pool. There are regular live entertainment shows in the hotel, such as Folk night, Hot Dancers, Magic Shows etc.
