The seasons are divided by three:
- off-season, January, February, March, April, November, December.
- mid-season, May, June, September, October.
- peak-season, July and August, including Easter as well.
Off-season. offers:
- Hotels are cheaper, and always available.
- Airplane tickets are a lot cheaper. Also, frequent flyer programs require less miles.
- There are no crowds.
- Some attractions are closed.
- Less daylight ours. So, you have to be an early bird and eat quick lunch.
- Cold weather. You have to pack heavy winter clothes.
Peak-season. offers:
- Sunny weather.
- Longer days.
- Lots of nightlife.
- All attractions are open.
- Everything is crowded.
- Airplane tickets are more expensive.
- It is harder to find a hotel. (Specially on Friday in Barcelona)
Mid-season. is a nice mix of the previous ones, and you get the best of both worlds.
