The seasons are divided by three: 

• off-season, January, February, March, April, November, December.
• mid-season, May, June, September, October.
• peak-season, July and August, including Easter as well.

 Off-season. offers:

• Hotels are cheaper, and always available.
• Airplane tickets are a lot cheaper. Also, frequent flyer programs require less miles.
• There are no crowds.
• Some attractions are closed.
• Less daylight ours. So, you have to be an early bird and eat quick lunch.
• Cold weather. You have to pack heavy winter clothes.

 Peak-season. offers:

• Sunny weather.
• Longer days.
• Lots of nightlife.
• All attractions are open.
• Everything is crowded.
• Airplane tickets are more expensive.
• It is harder to find a hotel. (Specially on Friday in Barcelona)

 Mid-season. is a nice mix of the previous ones, and you get the best of both worlds.
