Documents
These are the documents that you will need:
-
Passport. This is issued by your country and you can get it with a fee, the more money you pay the longer the passport lasts.
-
Visa. This is issued by the country of destination in the consulate located in your country. If they do not want to give it to you, you just won't get it. Normally people do not need a visa if they plan to stay in Europe more that 6 months.
-
International Student Card. The ISIC will issue it for you, and it will last for one year, this is great for getting discounts in Europe. Those discounts change from country to country, in Sevilla you can enter free almost everywhere, in Paris it is worthless if you are26 years old (all they care is your age, which is stamped in the ID), and in Italy you won't get any discount at all if you are not an European Citizen.... unfortunately there are so many museums in Firenze and they are very expensive...
-
GO25. If you are not a student anymore, but you are still 25 or less, then you qualify for this card.
-
Health Insurance Card. You can get one at ISIC but you can also buy an insurance from your local insurance company.
-
International Driving Permit. This is issued in your country and it is a requirement if you want to drive a car overseas.
-
Camping Card International. It is issued by automobile associations, camping federations and in some cases in camping grounds. You can use it to check in the camping ground instead of your passport, and some camping sites offer a small discount when you use it.
