Eurail Pass
The Eurail pass is a ticket that allows you to have unlimited travel for 15 days to 3 month of consecutive travel, or you can travel 10 or 15 days in a period of two months. The Eurail pass must be purchased before arriving to Europe.
The Eurail pass covers 17 countries countries of Europe:
- Austria
- Belgium
- Denmark
- Finland
- France
- Germany
- Greece
- Hungary
- Italy
- Luxembourg
- Netherlands
- Norway
- Portugal
- Republic of Ireland
- Spain
- Sweeden
- Switzerland
If you wish to travel through less countries, then you can buy the Eurail Select Pass in which you can travel through 3, 4 or 5 countries.
The Eurail pass is reserved for Non-European citizens. If you live in Europe, you must buy Interrailor Eurodomino.
The Eurail pass can be bought as Consecutive day pass or as Flexipass:
- In a Consecutive Day Pass, you can travel daily within an specific period of time. If you don't travel one day you don't get any refund for that day that you didn't use,
- meanwhile in the Flexipass you can travel a limited amount of days (10 as an example), in a two months period, you choose which days you travel.
If you are traveling in a group of 2 to 5 people, then you can buy the Saver Pass option, so you get a discount of about 15% for traveling in groups. The only requisite is that you must travel together all the time.
Now, if you have 25 years or less then you qualify for a Youth Pass, which is cheaper but you are forced to travel in second class.
