Interrail
The Interrail pass is a ticket that allows you to have unlimited travel for 22 days to one month in one, two, three or all zones. You must have lived in Europe for at least 6 months or be an European citizen.
The Interrail pass is divided by 8 zones, those are:

If you haven't been living in Europe for at least 6 months, then you must consider other passes... but those must be bought before you arrive to Europe; like the Eurail pass or the Europass.
The Interrail pass is not valid on trains in the UK.
If you have a Zone G pass then you get free transportation on the EA/HML ferry between Brindisi (Italy) and Patras (Greece). You have to pay a small local port tax.
If you want to travel through a country which is not covered by the Interrail pass then you are entitled to get a 50% discount on the journey through that country. You must take the fastest route and you are not allowed to stop during this trip.
If you have 25 years or less then you qualify for the under 26 fare, otherwise you can buy the 26+ fare.
