The Best Western Pinewood Lodge in Au Gres, is located on US 23, 16 miles south of Standish in a resort area. The lodge provides 30 rooms, two honeymoon suites, five Jacuzzi® rooms and two rooms for the physically challenged and well as smoking and non-smoking rooms. The honeymoon suites feature heart shaped whirlpools. The Best Western Pinewood Lodge also has a beautiful pool with an in-room hot tub, exercise classes are offered Monday through Friday at 8:30 a.m. at no extra charge to our guests. We offer a complimentary continental breakfast which is offered every morning from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and includes bagels, muffins, cereal, mini Danish, apple, grapefruit and orange juice, fruit, coffee and tea. Our meeting room has modem hook-ups. Au Gres is known for its boating, fishing, golfing, canoeing and recreation parks. Arenac County Park opened this year and offers a sandy beach and picnic area. A new ice cream parlor ahs opened within walking distance of the Best Western Pinewood Lodge and Water Funland opened Memorial Day and features go-karts, water slides, mini-golf and various new games.
